Today’s beautiful sunset from the backyard.
Sponsorship for Myra expired in 2014 and I received this cute 1 year old girl’s photo from World Vision who would be the new sponsored child. Her name is Lesly and she is also from Columbia.
After my sponsorship for Billy expired, World Vision Canada assigned Phinias from Zambia.
I thought I was doing well with my life and only way to share your happiness with other people is by helping them, making positive differences in their life. It was time to start my 3rd sponsorship. This time it was Urmi from Bangladesh where I was born and raised.
In 2010 I decided to sponsor another child and this time it was Mayra Fernanda from Columbia. She is a very cute girl; shares the same birth day and month as my mother.
Since I started working full time, I decided to do something to help the unfortunate and sick kids. Billy from Malawi is the first kid I started to sponsor in 2008 via World Vision Canada.
Today my uncle, my dad’s youngest brother, passed away. May Allah place his soul in heaven. He has been a great inspiration of my life and I can’t believe that I won’t see him again. When I left Bangladesh to move to Canada, I knew I might not get another chance to see some of the loved ones in the family and at that point I didn’t know how painful that can be. I lost my aunt (dad’s eldest sister), my dad, and today my uncle. I wish I could be there with his family at this time. He was always there for me, for my family, for my dad.
Last night I was cleaning my room and found a wrist watch that he gave me before I left Bangladesh in 2006. I guess that’s him saying goodbye. I will miss you chacha.
