Last note from Babul Uncle

Babul Kaka passed away today

Today my uncle, my dad’s youngest brother, passed away. May Allah place his soul in heaven. He has been a great inspiration of my life and I can’t believe that I won’t see him again. When I left Bangladesh to move to Canada, I knew I might not get another chance to see some of the loved ones in the family and at that point I didn’t know how painful that can be. I lost my aunt (dad’s eldest sister), my dad, and today my uncle. I wish I could be there with his family at this time. He was always there for me, for my family, for my dad.

Last night I was cleaning my room and found a wrist watch that he gave me before I left Bangladesh in 2006. I guess that’s him saying goodbye. I will miss you chacha.

Last picture of my father

My dad passed away today…Bangladesh time around 10:30 am (January 26, 2013). I am flying back home tonight at 11 pm. Hoping that my mom will be able to recover from this soon. If you read this please keep my family in your prayer.

I hope rest of the 2013 brings peace and happiness to everyone’s lives.

my altima

Nissan Altima

In 2012 it was time for me to give up on my 370z. At the same time my toyota camry died too. So i traded in both cars to get a family car, Nissan Altima 2012 4 cylinder 2.5 litre. This car turned out to be better than I thought. Very roomy, good driving experience overall. No more sports car for me. Time to be a good boy.

My 370z

Nissan 370z

In 2012 I found this 370z having a great deal. I could not control myself and bought the car trading in my genesis coupe. Guess what? It was manual and I didn’t know how to drive a manual car. So I had to call a friend to drive this to home. Took me a while to learn to drive a manual car. Which is why I have lots of memories with this car stalling on the roads, highways…making me look like a fool but once I learnt how to drive my Z without stalling and took the roof off…it was heaven!
